I laid on Red!!!

Hey, Whaz up my peeps?  I'm doin' good...  I laid on Red today!  By next Sunday my dad will let me sit astride him!  YAY!  I am sooo excited!  Any Tips for me?  Oh and last night we let the horses roam around the property instead of in their paddocks.  I'll tell ya'll what I did today~

First I rode Sonny over a 1-1/2 - 2foot jump combo.  He really drifted in the direction of the other horses.  We corrected that by going the opposite direction than the direction the others were in  the 2nd jump we would go in the opposite direction than the other horses.

Then I played w/ Red, the saddle, and the bridle.  He did GREAT!!!  I had sooo much fun!  I laid across him, worked on lateral flexion, walked over poles, and JUST HAD FUN!

Jumping and Cavelletti

Hi!  I rode Sonny the other day and we did some cavelletti plus at the end of the cavelletti, 20-30ft away, I set up a 11/2-2ft jump.  My mom recorded it but I am still trying to figure out how to download it onto my computer:)!

  I haven't worked w/ Red much except I did work on his walking shoulder to shoulder w/ me, staying out of my space, UDT, the porcupine game, and the driving game.

  Sonny and me have been working on Stick-2-me, porcupine game, driving game, yo-yo game, the sideways game, and a lot of UDT:)!

A Flash of the Obvious and some drama...

Hey!  What's up?  I for was NOT doing so well the past couple months or so, I was depressed and stressed out......  Not Fun!  I am a VERY private person and DO NOT tell anyone if somethings wrong.  Well, w/all the stress of everything it has REALLY been wearing me down and last night I'd HAD IT!!!  I burst into tears (so unlike me) and got REALLY mad at everyone because there had been a misunderstanding and that was THE LAST string.  But I got everything I needed to off my chest and I also figured some things out.  Like I haven't been working w/the horses lately because I would just get SO frustrated w/them and the session would end up in the tank.  But after I got everything off my chest I figured out the reason why everything was going in the tank.  I spent NO time just moseying around and letting him graze and spending some UDT (undemanding time) w/them.  Last night I spent UDT w/him and I have ALREADY noticed a change in him (Sonny)!!!  I am so excited now I actually enjoy going out there (I used to hate it...) because  we are no longer irritated w/each other....  I know it has only been a day but I REALLY HAVE noticed a change on both of our parts.  Well I'm done now w/ my FOB (Flash of the Obvious) : - P

Funny Story!

Aloha!  lol!  Well Sonny's been doing better and I rode him not yesterday but the day before around the property.  He did good....  Well I HAVE to tell you what happened this morning!!!

We were walking down the rode for our daily walk and all the sudden this horse comes barreling down Mr. Porter's driveway.  We try to make sure it didn't go anywhere and mom, Anna, Lexi, and Hailey head to the house to see if someone was home.  No one was, but while they were looking me and Manna (my maternal grandmother) tried to keep the horse from heading towards the main road, which is a VERY busy road, and she didn't go anywhere but she was in heat so she was over checkin' out the boys across the street.  Every time they would touch her though she would strike out and kick at the same time. So I didn't go near her cause my mom would have strangled me : - D!  lol!  Well then someone drove by and went to grab a halter from her property.  My mom then came back and said no one was home but then while the lady was gone Mr. Porter's girlfriend (???) came by and caught the horse so we then continued w/ our walk:)!

Saturday I went on the boat and while we were out I got a WICKED sunburn!  But while we were in an idle zone a dolphin came up and SWAM RIGHT NEXT TO THE BOAT!!!  It was DIRECTLY by where I was sitting!  He went and looked at us w/ his right eye and it was as if he was asking "where is the food dude???"  It was HILLARIOUS!!  Then a couple minutes later we saw a manatee which is very rare especially in the ICW (Inter Coastal Waterway).....  Well gtg Anna is crying and I want to get home so I can watch The movie Pride and Prejudice, My FAV book, I just got from the Library.......
